Foreign Affairs should be a strategic collaborator for the internationalisation of universities

The President of the Conference of Rectors of Spanish Universities (CRUE) and Rector of the Universitat Jaume I, Eva Alcón, and the President of Crue-Internationalisation and Cooperation and Rector of the UNED, Ricardo Mairal, met with the Minister of Foreign Affairs, European Union and Cooperation, José Manuel Albares, this Thursday.
CRUE, the Ministry, ANECA and CSIC advance in reforming research assessment in Spain
Madrid, 24 January 2024. The Conference of Rectors of Spanish Universities (CRUE), the Spanish Ministry of Science, Innovation and Universities, the Spanish National Agency for Quality Assessment and Accreditation (ANECA) and the Spanish National Research Council (CSIC) have organised the the launch of the National Chapter Spain (NC) of the Coalition for the Advancement of Research Assessment and Evaluation (CoARA) in Europe on 9 February in Madrid. The President of CRUE and Rector of the Universitat Jaume I, Eva Alcón, will participate in the opening ceremony along with the Secretary of State for Science, Innovation and Universities, Juan Cruz Cigudosa; the President of CSIC, Eloísa del Pino, and the Director of ANECA, Pilar Paneque.

Second CRUE communiqué on the escalation of war in Israel and Palestine

The Conference of Rectors of Spanish Universities (CRUE) expressed in a communiqué issued on the 17th October its concern and rejection of the escalation of war in the Middle East as a result of the events of recent days in Israel and Palestine. As a university system, we reaffirm our commitment to peace, justice, human rights, and democratic values, contrary to any war or terrorist act
Crue recognises EUA’s institutional trajectory on the Digital Transformation in universities
29 November, 2023. Valladolid. Crue Spanish Universities, through its Sectorial Commission for Digitalisation, has recognised the European University Association with the 2023 Institutional Trajectory Award for its “clear effort to highlight the importance of Digital Transformation in universities, through the creation of the steering committee and the advisory group, in which Crue has been involved, as well as the organisation of related workshops”.
